I moved HungryBird to a different site. Here is the link:

Come check it out. It looks a lot better on the new site. I am going to post pictures of my new order soon!
I am a genius. I made mini loaves of bread for my birds! We will call them Mini Loves from now on. They are super awesome but before I show you the whole process I will post todays breakfast, which is the same as yesterdays, chopped celery, baby carrots, and apple.
And now the moment you have all been waiting for! Here is the process of making Mini Loaves. I used the same basic batter I always use.
Chunky peanut butter being added. This was the best idea I ever had because it made them smell so yummy!
Goldenfeast Gardenpowder and ground cinnamon.
I mixed in the rest of my bag of Goldenfeast Golden’Obles II and some Volkman seeds.
On a separate plate I mixed Harrison’s and Volkman seeds together.

I rolled the dough out and then rolled it around on the plate with pellets and seeds so it could get a coating. These two pictures are of the Mini Loaves pre-oven.
The Mini Loaves looked and smelled great after coming out of the oven!
Here is a picture to show the average size. I have pretty small hands, so factor that in
Of course my birds were very pleased. They thought having a whole loaf of bird bread was awesome! I also made a small round bread for them. If you look closely you can see my dog’s little nose sniffing at the bread wondering why I always give the good stuff to these pesky birds!
Some pidgeons have been hanging out on my fire escape. I want to give them a Mini Loaf. I will try to get pictures.
My order is coming tomorrow!
Breakfast this morning was simple. I chopped up some celery, baby carrots, and an apple. There is a little more in the fridge for tonight or tomorrow.
Before I left I replaced the fresh food with a dry mix of Harrison’s and Volkman seeds. Later on I will give them some more veggies or maybe some Soak And Simmer.
The Pony toy from The Birdsafe Store is a HUGE success by the way. Not only does Squeaky viscously defend it from Iggy but he has already managed to destroy one of the beaded ropes by ripping all of the beads off. Luckily I ordered some replacement beads so soon I can fix it. If a toy gets destroyed you know it’s a good one!
As for the other toys, some of them are more popular than others. My parakeets are stubborn as donkeys and they will wait FOREVER before trying something new. This goes for food, water, and toys. Oh my gosh they are so stubborn! So I bought that huge coconut thing for them over a week ago. They have not touched it. As soon as they realized it wasn’t going to be a threat they just decided to ignore it. They are also ignoring the toys I made for them but at least they look at them and show interest!
The cockatiels love the munch balls and already destroyed the munch ball in the purple toy I made them. They are also having a good time shredding the Kebob toy I just bought. They are ignoring a few others but they are usually pretty willing to destroy whatever is there. They got distracted this morning because I put a fresh cuttlebone in and they were on a mission to take off as much as possible.
I have lots of pictures uploaded on my Facebook page now. All of the meals I posted here are there as well.
Waiting for my bird package to arrive. I think it will probably be here by Thursday. I made Soak And Simmer yesterday morning and the birds were very happy. They had Soak And Simmer with mixed veggies for breakfast, some seeds and pellets while I was at work, and then some Soak And Simmer with collard greens at night. When I put the Totally Organic Pellets in their coconut cup the cockatiels like them even more. They are so weird.
Breakfast today will probably be straight veggies. I’m not working too many hours today and I don’t have classes so maybe I will make them something yummy.
I may be moving in a few months. I hate to have them out and about in the winter. I would probably move around January. I don’t know what to do about my birdies. Should I take this opportunity to get that big double cage? I don’t know how big my apartment will be. I am probably going to move to the Bronx since I am effectively priced out of Manhattan and I don’t want to move to Brooklyn. I resist the moving-to-Brooklyn trend. Anyways, the Bronx is cheap and we can live near the train that we need to use to get to school and work. It’s better that way because we can actually get a one bedroom up there as opposed to a tiny studio. We actually may get a two bedroom, if we can afford it. The boyfriend is looking at his money making options. My options are more limited. I don’t know whether to continue going to school or not. I think I would have to take the spring semester off.
I’ve never lived on my own. I hope my birds and dog are okay. I don’t know how my dog will feel about it. I’m sure he will try to pee all over the new apartment to claim his territory. I don’t know if I should get another dog or not. A big mean dog would be great to have up there. I miss my old big mean dog. She was great, no dog could ever be as mean as she was.
